About

I create ceramic works by hand in my studio on Vancouver Island.

Shaped by the mountains, forest, and ocean.

I work in a studio built for focus and craft, where clay, wheel, and fire come together one piece at a time. Each work emerges from a process that can't be rushed—forming, firing, and finishing with the attention individual pieces deserve.

My practice centers on creating singular works. No production runs, no identical pieces. From sculptural vessels to functional art, everything carries the influence of this coastal landscape and the mark of its making.

The rugged beauty of this coast shapes every piece I create.

Weathered stone, dense forests, shifting tides, and the weight of morning fog. These elements live in the forms I develop and the surfaces I pursue.

Over time my approach has evolved toward creating fewer, more considered pieces. Works that exist at the intersection of sculpture and function—objects meant to be lived with and used daily.

The ceramic practice is grounded in the same principles that guide all meaningful work: patience, discipline, and doing the work with intention. It returns me to the tactile and the rhythm of making something real.

Each piece gets the time it needs. The subtle variations in form and glaze, the marks of the hand—these remind you that what you're holding was shaped with care and intention.

My work is meant to bring presence to daily rituals. If these pieces can create moments of pause in someone's day, then the time at the wheel was well spent.
